Moreover, Dr Atanasov is a pioneer in digital science communication approaches (e.g., using diverse social media networks, including a >100 000-follwers Twitter channel) and is the Leader of Digital Health and Patient Safety Platform (DHPSP) and International Natural Product Sciences Taskforce (INPST), open innovation platforms bringing together scientists, key opinion leaders, the general public, as well as members of multiple scientific excellence centers and biotech-, healthtech-, pharmaceutical-, nutraceutical- and medtech-related industries, united with the aim to promote collaborative research, technology development, health literacy, and biomedical science communication.
