Laura-Adriana Gaita, MD, PhD

Laura Gaita is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Diabetes, Nutrition, Metabolic Diseases and Systemic Rheumatology from “Victor Babes” University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Timisoara, Romania and a physician specialized in Diabetes, Nutrition and Metabolic Diseases currently working in the “Pius Brinzeu” Emergency County Hospital Timisoara, Romania.

She is a member of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes, European Atherosclerosis Society, European Society of Cardiology, European Association of Preventive Cardiology and Romanian Society of Diabetes, Nutrition and Metabolic Diseases. Her research is based on the prevention and modern management of chronic complications of diabetes mellitus, with a focus on atherogenic dyslipidemia and the interdisciplinary approach of patients with diabetes mellitus and cardiovascular disease.
