Mohsen Mazidi acquired his Ph.D. in 2018; currently, he is at Chalmers University of Technology with a specialization in OMICs and their link with dietary intakes and disease or disease pre-conditions (personalized nutrition). His main interest is working on nutrition sciences, cardiovascular epidemiology, and public health. He usually works with a large scale database; also he has performed several meta-analyses and systematic review. In total this has resulted in more than 120 manuscripts in ISI listed journals and he is placed as a first/leading author in over 80% of them. Most of the work that he leads are published in high-profile journals such as the European Heart Journal, American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition, American Heart Association, Journal of American College of Nutrition, Journal of Nutritional Biochemistry, Atherosclerosis, International Journal of Cardiology as well as the British Journal of Nutrition, among others. Another important feature of his work has been to test new methods to improve the interpretation of observational studies. His international collaboration leads him to have several junior author manuscripts such as the New England Journal of Medicine, Lancet, American College of Cardiology, JAMA cardiology, etc. He has been asked to perform as a section-editor/ad hoc review in several scientific journals such as BMJ, BMC Medicine, and top nutrition/cardiology journals. According to Google Scholar, his Hirsch’s Index is 25 (5235 citations).
