Tomasz Tomasik

Associate Professor Tomasz Tomasik MD., PhD. is a practicing physician, medicine teacher, scientist and social activist. He is involved in work for family medicine and primary health care in Poland. He works at the Department of Family Medicine of the Jagiellonian University Medical College and Group Practice of Family Physicians in Krakow in Kazimierz. From 2002 to 2017, he was the Chairman of the Experts’ Team for giving opinions on applications of units specializing in family medicine, and since 2013 he has been the President of the College of Family Physicians in Poland. In 2016, he headed the Team appointed by the Minister of Health to develop a strategy for system solutions in primary health care. Currently, he is a member of the Social Council of the “Together for Health” debate. He is a member of editorial committees of scientific magazines: “Family Doctor”, “Family Medicine Problems”.
